I Got Sprung

.. cause it's first day of the month of Spring, duh. Okay... and also maybe due to the fact that there was a highlight to my weekend: Melvyn's 19th birthday hizzouse party! February babies are the best huh. Especially with our celebrations and all that good jazz!
No? Pft, forget'chu then! Haha.

Anyway, my whole weekend solely relied on my extremely important rule:
"Play hard but only after working harder" - word.
After working a Friday night shift until 10pm I proceeded to taxi my ass to where the party at. By the way, it only cost me 5 dojas from Marine to Victoria & 22nd! I know you're wondering how I scored such a "deal". Apparently my taxi driver (after he looked me up & down as I walked to the cab when it came) "forgot to turn on the meter". He even warned me once I got to the location that cab rides travelling that much of a distance aren't that inexpensive. CREEPY MUCH? Gad. Hahaha. Once I got to Melvyn's the first thing I that sparked up to mind was hoooooly crap this house is infested with hella people! Then the rest of the night I occupied myself with the "New Crew" for yo's (you know who you are hehe), fleeing myself from the video games/computer room to the King size bedroom where people chilled, to the dancing room (which I initially saw girls giving lap dances to the boys on the couch in the dark haha) and outside for the necessaries. I'm quite proud for deviating myself away from the liqs just because I'm honestly really turned off about every aspect of it. So that's when Mary Jane came to the rescue, thanks betch! In conclusion, "that shirt is very becoming on you, and if I was on you I'd be coming too." /inside joke HAHA. Feast your eyes on the very little pictures that captured the night.

The next day, I was so relieved to not only have a late shift but a full 8 hour one all thanks to my coworker for switching with me! After getting off at 11pm, the boys and I were planning to hit up the Wild Coyote with our hoodies on for "I'm So Hood" Saturdays but since they couldn't find a ride to and from there, I didn't feel like going by myself. However, according to my promoter sources, "you dont even understand....there was noo room to walk... SOO MANY PEOPLE YOU MISSED OUT SOOOOOO BADLY!!!!" - Makes me feel sooo much better after I whined up a storm last night for missing out eh? Hmph. S'all gravy cause there are other opportunities coming up, right? At least I hope so.... haha.

So! It's the first of the month and how did I ring it in? Waking up freakishly at 7:30am on the dot. But that's not the catch. I was supposed to start work at 7! HAHA. I had to get myself out of that trouble, sigh. Thank goodness for slow Sundays at the hotel though. And now, after going on a date with my book, I'm just trying to entertain your (rainy) Sunday night while on Macdaddy with my pimp robe on. To keep up with the spirit of the first of the month, I'll leave ya'll with this:
Mornings are a time for reblogs, to look for inspiration, for reasons to smile, reasons to get up and go.

Sometime before sleep is a time to speak of the day, and the worries, and the joys.

Shortly after sleeping, being awoken by uncertainty, discomfort, that’s the time for profound things to be found and said.
