"You remind me of my ex-girl hard-headed so I'mma run up in your sex girl hard-headed"
- Illa J (J Dilla's younger brother)

I just got home from work and the first thing I do is get onto one of my respected blogs I parouse through daily -- The Broke Song had a new album waiting for me to download! So, I'm currently having my first listen to Yancey Boys 2008 by Illa J, [courtesy of J] and Q-tip's The Renaissance and hey..... I'm feelin it so far! Which comes to no surprise cause my main hip hop influencer knows the kind of shit my ears melt and get attracted to. The "Denise Roldan Rebirth" (haha) is creditted to you dude, thanks for sharing!

Oh! I have some tidbits to bring to your attention:
- my first University midterm experience left a good lasting impression! Despite me not having to study that much for it (which inevitably lead to minimal stress) I can say I did well on them. Non-existent grade 12-itis/laziness, hello! Round 2 for Socio and Phil is coming up mid-November though so I'm not outta the water yet!
- I took the moms to a free yoga class yesterday (cause it was the grand opening celebration day) and I'm so proud of her! I couldn't help but look over my shoulder every few poses to make sure she was still alive hahaha. Everytime she couldn't do a pose as much as I could she silently complained to herself and kept trying. So funny! She loved the feeling so much that she's going to split my monthly $160 membership so she can attend the Fri/Sat am classes. She even persuaded my dad (hahahahaha) and her friends to trying out walk-in classes. Bikram yoga is going to become a family thang. How.... cute? Haha.
- I'm also proud of my 10 year old younger brother after his Taekwondo promotion event on Friday for achieving a double belt promotion! Cause he, being the first kid in that league, summed up to more than 100 points (102 points to be exact)! I guess I'm no longer disappointed in him for not adding another 'Roldan' to the upcoming grade 7 sports award cause he's proven that this extra-curricular outside of school is his talent. High five bro!
- I'm still undecided and straddling between buying and making my Halloween costume hmmm. All I know for sure at this moment is how I'm so excited for that night of anticipated mayhem!
- with yesterday's decision to eat healthier, I will make better food choices once I am confronted with the tempting (but fricken pocket-burning) meal selection on campus starting Tuesday. No if, ands, or buts. Speaking of food, I read in the Georgia Straight nutrition section today at work that an effective way to fight cravings at unnecessary times in your day is to take a whif of fruits such as bananas or apples. This somehow causes the olfactory glands to trick your senses into believing that you are still full. Try it, it might work for you cause it worked for me when I got the urge to eat after work!

Mmmmmmmm.. my mentally exhaustive day has reached its peak cause I could have sworn I had more points to re-iterate on this. I guess not? Meh, and that is a sign for me to head to bed.
Hope the weekend was to your liking!
Hope the week ahead is sweet for all of you but if not endure some...
"Short term pains for some long term gains"
